Wine country Edenkoben

Looking at today's weather I am happy that on Oct 8 we almost had summer weather. My brother and family were here and we decided to drive out to Edenkoben a town on the German wine route.
Every home was decorated in autumn hues
The vineyards were ripe with fruit, different types of grapes all juicy and sweet. It was lovely to see the silhouette of the Haardt mountains across the landscape. Little bunny was fast asleep in the car when her cousins had a blast tasting the wonderful fruit.
Also got to see the vineyards across the mountain in all their splendour while going up the chairlift or 'sesselbahn'.
Walking through the chestnut grooves on this warm autumn day was marvellous. Had dinner at a nice restaurant which served traditional Pfalzer specialities.

  1. The pics look straight out of a fairytale book! Gorgeous pics, Chech. Loved the Sesselbahn one a lot... It looked like a fun ride. :)

  2. Veeda,

That's us on the 'sesselbahn' - I am holding onto H. and S. was holding onto K.

Agreed, the pictures were great and being there was greater.
