March through March..

OMG, it is already March and the first week of the month is already done. I am really spooked thinking about how the weeks are flying away. I still have not started working on any of my New Year resolutions. Actually at this point in time cannot remember if I made any at all.

A lovely vacation week now behind me and I am rearing to march through the entire month of March. Actually it will be quite a packed month at work. But still cannot seem to forget the mountains, the fresh air, the feel of the cold snow, the warm smile of Nadja our hostess who take care of us during our stay at the chalet in the Czech Republic. Little bunny asked me before going to bed when she can go skiing again and I knew exactly what was going through that beautiful mind of hers.

I promise myself that at the speed the months seems to be rolling ahead it will soon be time to go back.
But for now let me focus on marching through March.

The making of a snowman

Now it looks like there has been no trace of snow at all. But in the last days we really had quite some snow which is not very usual in this particular region. But we all made the best of it and sometimes tried our best to get around it. The children were definitely the happiest. It was a delight to see little bunny and her friends from her kindergarten including her teachers all busy making their own snowman.

It was quite impressive to see that it was well planned on who would deliver the different parts of the snowman.

All the parts were then assembled very intricately one on top of the other.

The nose and eyes were added with precision and then came all the woolen accessories to keep our man nice and warm.

Skiing in Železná Ruda

On vacation in the beautiful region of Zelezna Ruda in the Czech Republic. It is white all around me. Yeah the place is surrounded by snow capped mountains and fir trees whose branches are drooping low heavy with snow. Its plain beautiful! Today was a big day for little bunny and me. We received our first ski classes for the week.
The instructor said that bunny was the coolest three year old he had met.
She was scared but at the same time paid careful attention to what her teacher explained. She definitely will be good at it if she gets more practice. I fell couple of times but all bones are intact for today.
My ski instructor told me that I definitely need to build some leg muscle :-)

Merry Christmas

Thought this year we would have a white snowy Chrístmas. But it turned out to be quite a warm day (+6 deg) actually. Hope to have some more snow in the coming days.
The last days have been so much fun. I was baking and cooking in complete earnestness. Our home looked all decked up and pretty. The new version of my chocolate fruit cake turned out quite well. It was a perfect time to meet with friends and enjoy some yummy food together. It was fun to watch little bunny open her gifts with so much of glee on her face.
Wishing all of you a wonderful holiday time!
