My friend S is definitely one of the best cooks I know. This time it was some yummy Vdolke, again one of her yummy Chezch specialities.

Forget about portion sizes and counting calories, that kinda thing just does not work on an evening tea meeting eating warm crunchy rich
Vdolkes.

If you do a google translation of
Vdolke from Czech to English it would just say muffins but then that according to me is such a poor comparison. S made them out of a fresh sour dough batter, with a layer of Czech cottage cheese followed by a layer of home made pear preserves and topped with a dollop of freshly beaten cream.

The flavours are divinely delightful to say the least.
